Cash Handling Events Calendar Q4 2026: Money20/20, Intergraf, ABA and HSP Asia
If you buy, distribute or resell cash handling equipment, the last quarter of 2026 is unusually dense with industry events — and not all of them serve the same audience. Some shows are where retail and banking technology buyers scout machines; others are where central banks and print works set the banknote standards those machines must satisfy. This guide separates the two, with verified dates and venues, so you can decide which rooms are worth a flight and which briefings you can follow from your desk.
1. Money20/20 USA — The Venetian, Las Vegas, 18–21 October 2026
One week away. Money20/20 USA calls itself the number one fintech event in the country and consistently draws senior retail-banking, payments and treasury decision-makers to Las Vegas (dates and venue confirmed on the official site, us.money2020.com). For cash-equipment buyers this is the most commercially useful show on the list: branch transformation, ATM and CIT operations, retail checkout automation and fraud are recurring agenda tracks, and the attendee base includes exactly the profiles that resell counters and detectors — regional banks, credit unions, cash logistics firms and supermarket chains.
Practical tip: walk the fintech floor with a spec list in hand. If a checkout, deposit or back-office workflow demo involves physical banknotes, the validating hardware underneath it has to be counted, detected and, increasingly, fitness-graded somewhere. That "somewhere" is where machine suppliers win or lose the account.
2. Intergraf Currency+Identity — Bella Center, Copenhagen, 14–16 October 2026
Three days before Las Vegas, Copenhagen hosts the 50th edition of what the industry simply calls "the banknote congress." Intergraf is the association of European banknote and secure-document printers; Currency+Identity (official programme on intergrafconference.com) covers currency production, polymer conversions, fitness grading and the data standards that flow downstream to every sorter and ATBM on the market.
Distributors rarely attend Intergraf itself — but you should care about its outputs. Specifications agreed or reinforced in Copenhagen tend to reach your market as new note series, revised fitness thresholds or counterfeit waves within months. When ECB and national-central-bank tested-machine lists update next month, they are the direct echo of these discussions. A short briefing after the show — what changed for EUR, GBP and the main African and Asian series — is worth more to your equipment forecast than any sales deck.
3. The ABA fall circuit — Arlington and Salt Lake City
The American Bankers Association runs two relevant gatherings in late October. The AML & Fraud Conference takes place 13–15 October 2026 at the Hyatt Regency Crystal City in Arlington, VA, and the ABA Annual Convention follows 25–27 October 2026 at the Salt Palace Convention Center, Salt Lake City, UT (both confirmed on aba.com; the 2027 convention is already announced for Cleveland).
Cash counterfeiting is a standing theme of the fraud agenda. For distributors this is the room where compliance officers decide how tellers and mail-deposit units verify notes — the buying trigger for UV/MG detectors at every till and for CIS-based counters in cash offices. If your line card has no credible answer for a bank cashier needing a compact, rechargeable detector, the October ABA circuit is the month you will feel it.
4. Is cash really shrinking? The evidence says no — especially in your growth markets
The counter-narrative to "cashless" was quantified at the Banknote Conference in Washington DC this May. Organisers report nearly 435 delegates from 166 organisations, including 60 central banks and 29 print works (banknoteconference.com). Among the headline material was the Cash Resilience Strategy Initiative (CRSI), a Currency Research-led survey of 37 central banks across Africa, the Americas, Asia-Pacific, Europe and the Middle East. Its conclusion: in the Global South, cash in circulation continues to grow, often robustly.
For anyone selling into Africa, the Middle East or Southeast Asia, that matters more than any Las Vegas keynote. Growing circulation means growing demand for the boring middle of the stack: denomination counters for branches, currency detectors for retail, coin handling for transit networks and fitness sorters for national cash centres. Machines such as our CS-9500 coin sorter exist precisely for that layer of the market.

5. High Security Printing Asia — Hong Kong, 30 November–2 December 2026
The Asia-Pacific edition of the High Security Printing conference circuit runs 30 November–2 December 2026 in Hong Kong (confirmed on the official site hsp-asia.com; regional listings such as SICPA's event page note 300–350 delegates and an exhibition of around 30 currency and identity technology suppliers). HSP Asia is where central-bank cash operations managers from the region meet the people who make their banknotes — and, a day or two later, the people who have to count, verify and grade them.
Watch two themes coming out of Hong Kong: polymer migration (new polymer series announced across the region this year) and counterfeit trends by currency. Both translate directly into detection requirements — 365 nm UV stages, MG channels, CIS imaging — for detectors like the DC-5100.

6. Early look at 2027
Two dates are already locked for next year and belong in your FY27 travel budget: Money20/20 Europe, 8–10 June 2027 at the RAI in Amsterdam (official site) and High Security Printing EMEA, 1–3 March 2027, the European/Middle Eastern/African counterpart of the Hong Kong event (industry event listings, to be confirmed on hsp-emea.com as registration opens). Between them they cover the two halves of your product planning cycle: retail banking demand in Europe and print-authority requirements in EMEA.
7. How distributors should use this calendar
You do not need to attend everything. A lean playbook: follow the standards news out of Copenhagen and Hong Kong (it tells you what your machines must detect next); scout buyers where buyers are (Money20/20 USA and the ABA circuit); and prepare your demo kit before, not after — a currency sorter conversation goes better when you can quote real parameters: selectable 800/1000/1200 notes/min, dual 200-dpi CIS imaging, UV and magnetic channels, mechanical thickness checking and FIT/UNFIT grading on a touch-screen interface.
Easy-Banker manufactures banknote counters, currency detectors, sorters, bundlers and coin handling equipment for distributors worldwide, with OEM/ODM programs and multi-currency firmware updated as new series are issued. If a Q4 event is shaping your 2027 purchasing plan, request our catalogue and current lead times and we will align specs to the currencies you actually handle.
